Over the last few years Fife Gingerbread has grown and evolved in many ways. We came in to help the organisation to look at its structure and service delivery model as part of a sustainability review. A business planning review was followed by a Horizon Planning session with the Board and Senior Management team to hammer out the new structure, consider its operational and staffing impacts and how best to manage the change.
These sessions were very positive and secured buy-in from both Board and staff. The organisation has now completed the restructuring and is benefiting from the new service delivery model. This model will allow the expansion of services and the flexibility to take advantage of new opportunities.
The organisation has been very successful for many decades, but saw the need for change to better suit the needs of the organisation and of deaf people into the next generation. There was a particular need to make a step change in becoming more relevant to younger deaf people, more enterprising in service delivery and more efficient. We undertook a root and branch review of the organisation across the board including staffing and HR, governance, service delivery, finance and core purpose.
