Community Enterprise through its design division, BOLD, has embarked on an exciting new venture with Cyrenians to provide vulnerable young people in Edinburgh opportunities to cultivate their artistic gifts.
Creative Natives is initially an 18 month Big Lottery funded programme with an aspiration to secure continuation funding beyond that.
‘Creative Natives’ will work mostly with young people who are vulnerable. Most will have left school, some will have a background in care and/or have been affected by homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless. All participants will be actively referred from the Cyrenians and will already be actively engaged in their support programmes. Though we will target the most vulnerable, they will be ready to take a pro-active part in this programme.
In order to implement this new project, we need an individual with a special set of skills, experience and approaches to life. This posts combines two key attributes;
- An experienced graphic designer who is comfortable with Adobe Creative Suite and can lead on design projects such as posters, flyers, booklets, logos and web design (not web build)
- Someone who is passionate about supporting vulnerable young people to realise their creative potential.
If this sounds like you, you can apply by sending your CV and a detailed covering letter showing how you meet the person specification and job description for this post and why you are applying for it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please also supply your portfolio, either as PDF or online.
Deadline: 4th March 2018 with interviews taking place w/c 12th March 2018.
