Our Mission and Values

Mission

Our mission is to be passionate about supporting community based organisations to thrive through enterprise.

 

Values

We are value driven people and work in the sector because we believe that community and social enterprise can have a significant impact on the lives of the most disadvantaged people living in Scotland. Every piece of work we carry out is done so with the following values.

Community

 We value the word community in our title and endeavour to support trading that makes a difference on a local level.

Enterprise

 By using a community development approach, we will only support groups where sustainability through trading is the focus of the work.

Relationship

 We will commit to working with organisations, within the resources we have, for as long as they need it and at the level and pace they need.

Empowerment

We will encourage people to take responsibility for the development of their idea and support them to make the necessary changes. Ultimately we aim to make impact but also create and enhance capacity.

Quality

We will provide professional services which exceed our clients’ and beneficiaries' expectations.

Inspiration

 We will always look further than what is possible to ensure we are truly inspirational. We believe social enterprise is one of many tools and is a means to an end. That vision may mean taking risks.
